Here you can find some of the common asked questions about the Monthly Maintenance report you receive:

  1. When are updates run?
    Updates are run during the first week of each month

  2. When are maintenance reports generated?
    Reports are generated automatically on the 1st of each month

  3. Why does my report show some plugins still to be updated?
    As updates are done during the first week of each month, there is a three week period when no updates are done and then the report for the month is generated. As plugins can issue a new version at any point in the month, we are unable to watch every day for updates and then update the second a plugin offers the update. You will then see plugins that have been updated and a list of plugins that still have updates available. Rest assured that at the start of the new month, those plugins will be updated. 

  4. Why are some plugin updates not performed?
    Sometimes we hold back updating certain plugins. There is a very good reason for this. The types of plugins that we hold back on updating are normally major plugins that rely on several other plugins to operate effectively. For example: WooCommerce is a major plugin but at times it uses additional plugins to get the desired end result such as custom field editors, cart flows, shipping dates etc... If WooCommerce does an update but these other plugins haven't yet done the update (because they often only do their updates a few days after woocommerce has done it's update), we hold off updating WooCommerce until it's depend plugins are ready to be updated too. This means there will be less chance of incompatibility issues. 

  5. Why does my report show zero values for Google Analytics?
    This is because we don't have access to your google analytics account. We would ask you to please then give us access to your Google Analytics account so that we can include this information in your monthly reports. View "Adding a User to your Google Analytics Account" and then once you have given us access, please email us to advise so that we can connect it up to the reports for you. If you do not have a google analytics accounts, please email us so that we can assist you with getting one setup.
